Services
Waba have a wealth of experience in providing our clients excellent medical image management. Read below to find out more about each of our services
MIM
Waba MIM is the UK’s first Image Management product built specifically for the NHS’s Medical Illustration market. With the help of four major NHS Trusts its original design was to securely manage clinical and non-clinical images as the market transitioned from film to digital, within the strict guidelines of Caldicott and Information Governance. Since then, MIM has grown and changed to keep in line with the changing demands of the modern NHS. Delivering clinical images directly to the clinicians either from the Medical Photography department, or our new Waba Mobile App. Increasing demands for clinical photography means that the need for images via Clinical Portal or EPR systems has also increased, Waba MIM will integrate with these applications to enable a patient centric search for the end-users.
JMS
Waba’s Job Management System (JMS) is a flexible browser-based solution for use within Medical illustration departments and Media units. JMS can be used as either a standalone product or as part of an integrated media management solution.
Whilst there has been an increase in the use of image database solutions to manage patient and non-clinical photography within an integrated healthcare environment; most medical illustration and media departments are still using either legacy databases or in-house solutions to manage all the associated patient and job information.
To address this problem Waba has developed JMS, an integrated solution, which when linked with our Medical Image Manager (MIM), will not only improve your workflow and offer a complete solution for managing medical photography.
WMP
Waba’s secure mobile App has been developed to minimise the risk of any image falling into the wrong hands. Once the App has been installed on a mobile device the user can either scan the patient’s wrist band to retrieve the patient’s demographics or enter the known Patient or Hospital number. Once this has been done, all that remains is to obtain the patient’s consent via the App’s signature pad, take a photo or video of the patient and press upload. Once the upload button has been selected, the photo, patient demographics and consent are sent directly through to Waba MIM (Medical Image Manager) or your own image management system. This is achieved either via WIFI or a GPRS signal. The image has now left the device and the risk of the image leaving the Trust has all but gone.
WSL
The development of the Waba Skin Lesion App is testament to our strong client relationships, where we have listened to the requirements and then worked closely with the client (NHS Tayside & Dundee University) to develop a world beating Dermatology App which captures high quality photo's, patient consent, patient demographics, patient and family lesion history and additional data sets, approved BAD. Its secure workflow links directly to our Image Management System, MIM, once in MIM a real time diagnosis can be made using either SNOWMED or ICD10, whilst the job is being prepared for AI development.
Casio DZ-D100
Having had success with both our clinical app, WMP and our Skin Lesion App WSL, we are excited to announce that we can now supply the Casio DZ-D100 derm camera. We recognise that not all environments are suitable for App use so as the DZ-D100 seamlessly integrates into the Waba dermatology family, you can now choose to use it alongside the Waba Skin Lesion App (WSL) or if you prefer, as a standalone tool for capturing high-quality dermatology photos.
